Fargo Might Have Second Homicide In As Many Days

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Police in Fargo have detained a man they say is a person of interest in a homicide. They also are investigating what might be a second homicide.

Lt. Joel Vettel says the 35-year-old man wanted for questioning was detained about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, not far from where a second body was found.

Authorities found the body of a man inside a residence shortly before 1 a.m. Tuesday after responding to a report of a fire. Police say the man died a violent death, and they're looking into whether it might be connected to a homicide Monday in the same part of the city.

Authorities on Monday found the body of a man at an apartment complex and identified the person of interest — a man they say knew the victim.
