Fargo Man Faces 22 Charges After Drug Bust

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Authorities have filed 22 felony charges against a man in connection with a bust in Fargo that police say netted numerous narcotics, weapons and counterfeit bills.

Twenty-three-year-old John Iten faces drug, forgery and child endangerment charges. The Associated Press requested comment Thursday from defense attorney Mark Beauchene.

Iten could enter pleas at a May 11 hearing. He could face life in prison without parole if convicted of the more serious charges against him.

Fargo police say they recovered methamphetamine, heroin, fentanyl, marijuana, ecstasy, LSD, various painkillers, testosterone and anabolic steroids in the bust earlier this week, along with loaded guns including an AK-47 rifle. Police Lt. Shannon Ruziska called it "one of the most significant and visually appealing busts" in recent memory.
