Esko School Evacuated After Bomb Threat

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A written bomb threat prompted the evacuation of Esko School Tuesday afternoon, according to the Carlton County Sheriff's Office.

At 12:25 p.m. the bomb threat was found inside the school. All students, K-12, were evacuated to St. Matthews Church and are safe and accounted for.

Local law enforcement, along with the FBI, responded to the incident and bomb detection dogs are being utilized in the investigation.

Investigators are now looking for the person or persons responsible for this threat. Anyone with information is urged to call 911.

The Esko School buildings are closed until further notice.

Esko, Minn. is located approximately 16 miles southwest of Duluth.
