1 Suffers Serious Injuries In Crash On Elm Creek Boulevard In Maple Grove

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A crash early Wednesday morning in Maple Grove, which led to the temporary closure of Elm Creek Boulevard, resulted in an individual suffering life-threatening injuries.

The Maple Grove Police Department says the two-car crash happened around 4:30 a.m. at the intersection of Elm Creek Boulevard and County Road 81.

A car carrying three people was going south on the boulevard when it slammed into another car going east on the county road.

One person in the southbound car suffered life-threatening injuries, police say. The individual was brought to a nearby hospital for treatment.

All others involved in the crash, including the driver and sole occupant of the eastbound car, suffered minor injuries.

The crash closed Elm Creek Boulevard for the morning commute as investigators worked to reconstruct the crash.

Police say the crash remains under investigation.
