Ellison On ISIS Threat: "I'm Not Worried About Them At All"

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minnesota Congressman Keith Ellison says when he first heard he was on an ISIS hit list, he thought it was a joke.

Ellison says he was also surprised he was on the list published in an ISIS propaganda article. The article quotes ISIS leader Abur Bakr al-Baghdadi as saying those on the list deserve a fatal and painful punishment.

Ellison says he is not at all worried.

"I am just going to keep speaking up against them and telling the truth about them," he said in a phone interview. "They tried to set up this so-called "Caliphate," but really it is just a nightmare, which is why faithful Muslims are running away from them because they are that maniacal and sick."

Ellison says he is not getting any extra security. He did say the Capitol police have asked to meet with him and that he will consider any advice they have.
