Motorcyclist Severely Injured In Elk Mound, Wis. Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A Wisconsin motorcyclist was airlifted to a local hospital after crashing on Saturday, according to the Dunn County Sheriff's Office.

The crash occurred on State Highway 29 in the town of Elk Mound. The motorcycle was speeding down eastbound 29 when it left the road, entered the median and crossed to the westbound side.

The driver was ejected from the motorcycle and suffered severe injuries. The sheriff said alcohol and speed were factors in the crash. The driver was not wearing a helmet.

The driver has not been identified. The sheriff's office is still investigating the crash.
