The Minnesota Vikings, the Mississippi Watershed District and others have partnered to re-do the football field and other practice fields at Minneapolis Edison High School. They upgraded the football field by using technology to provide the source of water.

And then the rain water, the snow, the excess water from the field and that comes off our building here will drain down into our reservoir and we will actually recycle that water to irrigate our field," Edison Athletic Director Brett McNeil said.

"When you come to the field every day and it's not in good shape or you're afraid of getting hurt on the field because it's such bad quality it's really hard to improve and get better and stick with the sport," Vikings punter Jeff Locke said.
