Edina's Williamson Named Minnesota Ms. Hockey

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Edina senior forward Taylor Williamson is the winner of Let's Play Hockey's 20th annual Ms. Hockey Award.

Williamson helped the Hornets qualify for their first state tournament since 2012. She led Edina to a third-place finish with four goals to earn all-state honors.

Williamson led Edina in scoring with totals of 40 goals and 20 assists in 27 games this season. The Edina team captain plans to skate for the University of Minnesota.

The other four finalists were defenseman Grace Bizal of Hopkins, and forwards Dana Rasmussen of Dodge County, Sophia Shaver of Wayzata and Paige Voight of Cretin-Derham Hall.

Frances Marshall of Thief River Falls was named Let's Play Hockey's senior goalie of the year. Marshall posted a 26-1-3 overall record this season with eight shutouts.
