MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Authorities say a 27-year-old man is in custody after a police chase in Edina ended late Thursday morning with the driver hitting another vehicle head-on.

The Edina Police Department says the incident started at about 11 a.m. when an officer attempted to stop a 27-year-old Burnsville man for a revoked license near Highway 169 and Highway 62. There was a short pursuit westbound on Highway 62 until the man exited on Tracy Avenue.

The suspect then hit another vehicle head-on before fleeing the area on foot. He was taken into custody a short time later and is in the Hennepin County Jail awaiting charges.

Both vehicles were damaged in the crash, but neither driver required medical attention. The incident remains under investigation.
