Eden Prairie Police Seek Info On Dollar Tree Robbery

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police in Eden Prairie are asking the public for information about an armed robbery Wednesday night at the Dollar Tree store that left one employee injured.

Authorities say the robbery happened at the store on Glen Lane just before 10 p.m., when the store closes.

Employees told police that a man dressed in black entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded cash from the registers and a safe.

The suspect assaulted one of the employees, who suffered minor injuries.

No customers were in the store at the time of the robbery.

Employees described the suspect as being about 6-feet-tall, wearing dark clothes and gloves, with a scarf over his mouth.

Police searched for the suspect with the help of a police dog, but he was not found.

The robbery remains under investigation.
