Eden Prairie Man Pleads Guilty In Fatal Crash
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — An Eden Prairie man has pleaded guilty in a drunken driving crash that killed his passenger last August.
The Hennepin County Attorney's office says 48-year-old Randoll Guy Sloan pleaded guilty Tuesday, the day his trial was scheduled to begin.
Sloan pleaded guilty to the three counts of criminal vehicular homicide he was charged with. Sentencing is set for July 31.
Prosecutors say Sloan and his nephew, Kyle Boline, were driving Aug. 1 when Sloan's convertible missed a curve, hit a power pole and flipped over. Both men were thrown from the car.
According to the complaint, Sloan's blood-alcohol level was 0.19 percent, more than twice Minnesota's legal limit of 0.08 percent.
