Dunkin' Donuts To Open 24 Locations In The Twin Cities

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Dunkin' Donuts is making its triumphant return to the Twin Cities.

In June, Dunkin Donuts opened a location in Rochester's Kahler Grand Hotel. After which, a Dunkin' Brands executive said there were plans to open five more locations in Rochester and hopes that the company would expand to the Twin Cities.

On Wednesday, the company announced it will be opening 24 new restaurants throughout the metro area.

The 24 restaurants will be split between two franchise groups.

Local franchise group Kod Kod Enterprises will open 12 of the chains in the Minneapolis' northern suburbs and the St. Cloud area.

The second franchise group, VANTive Group, will open 12 Dunkin locations in eastern Minneapolis and the surrounding areas.

Both groups place to have their first store open by 2017.
