Duluth Man Arrested For Drunk Driving With Child In Car In Wis.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 37-year-old Duluth man was arrested Sunday afternoon for operating a vehicle while under the influence with a child in the car in northwestern Wisconsin, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol.

The driver, identified as Carl Moore, was stopped for speeding at about 12:32 p.m. Sunday on Highway 2 near Highway 137 in Bayfield County. An investigation showed he was driving under the influence with a passenger under the age of 16.

Authorities said Moore was arrested at the scene and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant with a child under 16 years old present. He was taken to the Bayfield County Jail, where he submitted to a breath test. He was also charged with speeding.

Moore was processed at the Bayfield County Jail and released to a responsible party.

The case remains under investigation.
