Boy Dies After Apparent Drowning In Maple Grove

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials say a boy died Sunday morning in an apparent drowning in a Maple Grove pool.

The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office says the incident happened around 9 a.m. at a pool on the 7300 block of Orchid Lane.

First responders gave the child immediate care and brought him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The child's exact cause of death will be released by the county medical examiner's office.

The incident remains under investigation.
