Downtown Windows Illuminated With Art

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - Artists lit up store front windows along Hennepin Avenue downtown Friday night.

Nearly 40 illuminated "art in storefront" windows were unveiled as part of Minneapolis' new urban walking gallery.

The idea is to turn the Cultural District, which stretches from the Walker Art Center to the Mississippi riverfront, into a highly walkable destination.

The project, called "Brilliance! Made Here," features more than 60 Minnesota artists.
