Downtown Minneapolis Restaurant Brasserie Zentral To Close

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Another restaurant in downtown Minneapolis will be closing its doors soon.

Brasserie Zentral, an award-winning European restaurant on the corner of 5th Street and Marquette Avenue, announced it will close following dinner service on Saturday, Jan. 16.

The restaurant was opened in early 2014 by Russel and Desta Klein to some critical acclaim, earning a four-star review from the Star Tribune and was featured several times on WCCO.

Zentral has several sister restaurants including Foreign Legion -- a casual Italian establishment next door which will remain open -- and Meritage -- a French bistro in St. Paul.

Zentral owners say all unused gift certificates will be honored at Foreign Legion.
