Donations To Salvation Army Red Kettles Down

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Donations to the Salvation Army's Red Kettles are down this year, said a spokesperson for the organization.

According to the spokesperson, Salvation Army's goal for October through December was $11.5 million.

As of last week they had $8.35 million, which put them between 10 and 20 percent behind their totals last year.

The spokesperson said that while they won't have number of donations they received this week until next week, they still feel they are behind.

The kettles were taken down on Dec. 25, but people can still donate online.
