Does This Year Rank Among Our Top 10 Least Snowy Winters?
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- We're getting at least a few more inches of snow in the Twin Cities this Tuesday, but it probably won't be enough to get the area close to average seasonal snow totals.
However, somewhat surprisingly, this winter doesn't even rank among the top 10 least snowy seasons on record.
According to weather forecaster Kylie Bearse, the Twin Cities had seen just over 25 inches of snow this winter so far, prior to Tuesday's totals.
In point of comparison, here are the ten least snowy winters according to the National Weather Service archives.

Bearse did point out, though, that though there's no shot of us breaking any paucity records, the Twin Cities is currently about 17 inches below average.
