Minn. DNR Wants To Know About Your Mille Lacs Lake Catch

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Since you can't keep the walleye on Lake Mille Lacs year, the Minnesota DNR is asking you to share information about what you catch.

Crews will be on the lake asking questions about size, how many you caught, and how long you've been fishing. And they'll ask about the bait you're using.

The information is for a two-year study looking at how many walleye survive after being caught and released.

DNR shuttle boats will also be there to take your catch to a nearby pen for the study.

The goal is to improve walleye fishing on the lake.
