Denny Hecker May Be Released 1 Year Early

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- It appears Denny Hecker's release date from prison has just been moved up a year.

The former Minnesota auto retailer giant was sentenced to a decade in prison for fraud, and has been moved from prison to prison since he was sentenced in 2011.

Hecker has been spent time in prisons in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Indiana, Pennsylvania.

He is currently listed as an inmate at a federal facility in Pekin, Illinois.

In a Good Question segment from 2012, Jason DeRusha reported that there could be a number of reasons why Hecker was being moved around so much. Hecker's attorney believed it might be "diesel therapy," or a form of punishment.
