Delta Flight Stops In Minneapolis To Remove Unruly Passenger

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said a Delta flight traveling from Baltimore to Salt Lake City had to be diverted to Minneapolis Friday night to remove an unruly passenger.

The incident happened at about 8:30 p.m. on Delta flight 1189. Authorities said a woman was taken into custody for being out of control on the plane and bothering other passengers. Pilots on the plane requested assistance to have her removed once they landed at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

She was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, and it's not known if any charges will be filed. The woman's name was not released, and the flight continued to its destination. The incident remains under investigation.
