Delano Man Dies In ATV Crash In Carver County
MAYER, Minn. (AP) — A 53-year-old Delano man is dead after an all-terrain vehicle crash in Carver County.
Sheriff Jim Olson says deputies were called to the accident about 5:30 p.m. Sunday. The sheriff says Neil Francis Zimmerman was riding an ATV in the city of Mayer when he lost control and flipped the machine.
Witnesses lifted the ATV off of Zimmerman, called emergency responders and tried to revive him. But Zimmerman died at the scene.
He was not wearing a helmet.
