Fargo Teen Arrested In Shooting Death Of Moorhead Taxi Driver Abdullahi Abdullahi

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Moorhead police say they tracked down an 18-year-old man they believe murdered a taxi driver Wednesday morning.

Police initially said Abdullahi Mohamed Abdullahi, 24, appeared to have suffered "suspicious trauma" to his body before his car crashed on the 3000 block of 20th Street South. Investigators then said Wednesday evening that Abdullahi was actually shot during a planned robbery, and he didn't know his attacker.

The suspect, from Fargo, is being held at the Cass County Jail, and is expected to be charged with second-degree unintentional murder and first-degree aggravated robbery.

WCCO typically doesn't identify suspects until they are formally charged.

A GoFundMe has been set up for Abdullahi's family.
