Death Of Missing NDSU Student Ruled Homicide

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Investigators have ruled the death of a missing North Dakota State University student a homicide.

According to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office, Thomas Gregory Bearson's death is the result of "homicidal violence."

Bearson, from Sartell, was last seen on Saturday, Sept. 20 at about 3:40 a.m. leaving a friend's house near the university's Fargo campus.

The evening prior, Bearson had sent out a Tweet saying that he was lost.

Police announced Tuesday afternoon that a search party in Moorhead, Minn. found a body matching the description of 18-year-old.

The body was found in an RV sales and service lot in south Moorhead near a Menard's store at 11:20 a.m.

Bearsons' left tennis shoe -- a Nike Air Jordan -- and his cell phone -- a silver iPhone 5 -- have not been recovered.
