Deaf Rapper Sean Forbes Rocks The 'U'

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A rapper is working to highlight the talents and efforts of fellow deaf and hard of hearing artists.

Sean Forbes entertained hundreds at the University of Minnesota's Coffman Memorial Union Monday night.

He says he's building badly-needed bridges between the music industry and the deaf.

Forbes is co-founder of D-PAN - the Deaf Professional Arts Network. It's a nonprofit that translates pop songs into American Sign Language and makes music videos for the deaf and hard of hearing.

The concert was hosted by the University of Minnesota's Disability Resource Center.
