Dayton Attends Governor's Pheasant Opener In Worthington

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The annual Governor's Pheasant Opener took place in Worthington, Minn., Saturday.

Gov. Mark Dayton spent the day hunting and was joined by Minnesota veterans for the Wounded Warriors hunt.

This is the fourth year of the opener.

It took place at the Lake Bella Waterfowl Production area.

No word yet on whether or not the governor had any luck hunting.

Dayton announced that Mankato, Minn., will be the next city to host the opener at a banquet Saturday morning.

It will be the weekend of Oct. 9 and 10 in 2015.
