Police Squad Involved In Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A police squad car heading to an emergency call crashed with a truck in Crystal Thursday morning.

Around 6 a.m., a squad vehicle being driven by a 34-year-old Officer Gabe Storz was heading east on 36th Avenue following a call at a nearby Cub Foods.

The squad crashed with a Ford cutaway truck being driven by a 39-year-old man from Madison, Wisconsin that was heading north at the ramp from Highway 100.

Both drivers were wearing belts, and both were taken to North Memorial Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

No alcohol was detected on the drivers.
