1 Month On, Slain Woman's Family Wants Answers

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Tuesday marks one month since a gunman killed a 36-year-old mother in north Minneapolis.

Officers found 36-year-old Crystal Collins shot to death just feet from her door near 30th and Newton avenues.

A month later, there have been no arrests in the case.

Family members do not believe Collins was targeted, but they do not know what happened leading up to the shooting.

"Just put the guns down, that's all I'm saying," said Bryania Brown, Collins' daughter.

Collins was a single mother of three teenage children. Police are asking anyone with information to come forward.

The family has set up a GoFundMe account for Crystal's children. Click here to donate.
