Crystal Public Works Employee Finds Box Of Abandoned Kittens

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – You've cat to be kitten me.

A box of five kittens was found abandoned in Becker Park Thursday afternoon, according to the Crystal Police Department's Facebook page.

While doing routine maintenance in the park, Public Works employees found a sealed box. When they went closer they heard meowing. They opened the box to find five kittens inside.

According to the post, the Public Works employees contacted the Animal Control Officer, who then took them to an agency to have their health checked.

Officials in Crystal said the kittens are being taken to Angel of Hope Friday, a pet rescue in Anoka.

Crystal police are looking for any information in regards to the abandoned kittens. Anyone with any information should call the 763-531-1014.
