Crews Recover Body Of Duck Hunter From Pine County Lake

DUQUETTE, Minn. (AP) -- Sheriff's officials say the body of a duck hunter who fell from a boat into a Pine County lake has been recovered.

Two other men who were hunting with the victim say they came to a boat landing on Oak Lake Thursday near Duquette. The two went to retrieve a vehicle and trailer to load the boat. When they returned to the landing, the boat was about 200 yards from shore, empty and running in circles.

They called for help. The St. Louis County Sheriff's Department assisted with sonar and underwater camera equipment. The man's body was found in about nine feet of water, not far from where the empty boat was spotted.

The man has not been identified.
