Crews Battling Car Fire At Plymouth Gas Station

PLYMOUTH, Minn. (WCCO) -- Authorities put out an apparent car fire at a gas station in the northwest Twin Cities metro Thursday night.

Fire crews were called to a Super America gas station just after 5 p.m. on the 4300 block of Peony Lane N. in Plymouth on a report of a car fire. Pictures from a witness at the scene show thick black smoke at the gas station as a result of the fire.

Some nearby businesses, including the PCI Academy, were evacuated as a precaution. There have been no reports of any injuries from the fire. Authorities say the fire is out, but crews remain on scene to control the smoke and assess any damage.
