CRAVE Offers Creative Lettuce Wrap Recipes In New Summer Menu

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Summer is always a good time to change things up, and the folks at CRAVE have a new summer menu. Their Executive Chef Heather VanHorn joined Jason and Kylie on the WCCO Rooftop Studio to give us a sneak peak at their new lettuce wrap recipes. Try it for yourself with the recipe below!

Demo: Lettuce Wraps

Feature:
1. Chimichurri Ribeye
2. Seared Halibut
3. Noodle Salad
4. Risotto Balls
5. Summer Bruschetta
6. Bacon Cheddar Tots
7. All You Can Eat Steak & Crab Dinner

Recipe: Chicken Lettuce Wraps

Procedure:

  • Sauce pulled chicken and deglaze with soy chili sauce
  • Mix the slaw portion with the chili lime dressing
  • Lay the romaine pieces in a row on a skinny rectangle plate slightly diagonal.
  • Place the slaw mixed with the dressing inside the 4 lettuce wraps
  • Top the slaw with the sautéed chicken.
  • Garnish each piece with the cilantro, basil and green onion frizzle in a mound on top of the chicken.
  • Sprinkle the chopped peanuts over the two lettuce wraps
  • Serve with a lime wedge between the middle two lettuce wraps
