Police: Couple Found Dead In Apple Valley Home

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police in Apple Valley said officers found two people Thursday morning dead from gunshot wounds.

The officers found the bodies while responding to a welfare check shortly before 10 a.m. on the 14000 block of Pennock Avenue.

Inside the home were two bodies with gunshot wounds. A handgun was found nearby.

The victims' identities are being withheld pending the notification of family, but police say the two are believed to be a couple in their 50s.

Police say there is no threat to the public. The deaths remain under investigation.
