MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — On Friday Gov. Tim Walz declared a peacetime emergency in the state of Minnesota in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Across state lines in Wisconsin, Gov. Tony Evers declared a public health emergency on Thursday and ordered all public and private schools in the state (K-12) to close by Wednesday, March 18. Here are the latest updates on COVID-19-related headlines from Saturday, March 14:
- 11:01 p.m.: Afton Alps, Hoigaards, and all other businesses operated by Vail Resorts, will be closed between March 15 and March 22.
- 9:07 p.m.: Stillwater Area Public Schools will be closed on Monday, March 16 & Tuesday, March 17.
- 8:46 p.m.: AMC Theaters announced they are reducing theater capacities by about 50%.
- 6:26 p.m.: The White House announced that President Donald Trump has tested negative for COVID-19.
