Cops: Man, 27, Arrested In Connection To Alexandria Robberies

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – After a week of investigation, authorities in west-central Minnesota say they have arrested a man in connection to multiple robberies made in recent weeks.

Alexandria police say officers arrested 27-year-old Michael Warren after they had probable cause to believe he was involved in the robberies.

Police did not say where, when or how Warren was arrested, and they did not detail the robberies he is suspected in committing.

However, there has been a string of armed robberies in the area since late last month. In the robberies, the suspect – described as a man in his twenties, standing about 5-feet, 9-inches tall – displayed a handgun, demanded cash and then tied workers up in the back room.

The businesses robbed were a video store, a gas station and a sandwich shop.

Police say that because the investigation is still on-going, they will not be releasing any more details on Warren's arrest.
