Cops: Woman Arrested For Assault After Burned Popcorn Argument

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police in the south metro say that in the last week a woman was arrested for domestic assault following an argument over burned popcorn.

According to a weekly newsletter from Chaska police, the arrest followed an argument between a drunk man and a woman after the woman had allegedly burned some popcorn.

Police say the woman hit the man several times and threw things at him.

Officers were called to the home, and they arrested the woman.

She has since been charged with domestic assault, the newsletter said.

Her name was not given.
