Cook Co. Atty.'s Criminal Sexual Conduct Case Heads To Jury

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A jury will now decide the fate of a Minnesota county attorney on trial for his relationship with a teenage girl.

Tim Scannell is charged with two felonies for his relationship with a teen that was 17-years-old at the time.

Scannell admitted on the stand this week that he loved the girl, but he says nothing sexual happened.

He blames the relationship on mental trauma after being shot on the job.

Scannell could be sent to prison for several years if found guilty.
