Conference Focuses On Women In Agriculture

CHANHASSEN, Minn. (AP) — Women from all walks of agriculture will gather at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chanhassen on Wednesday for the 16th annual Minnesota Agri-Women's spring leadership conference.

Organizers say this year's event will focus on the concepts of "Leaning In" which encourage women to pursue their ambitions and change the focus from what they can't do to what they can do.

They say the day-long conference draws people from all aspects of agriculture, including farmers, agribusiness representatives, students, FFA members, lenders, government agencies, academia and others.

Speakers include Minnesota Commissioner of Agriculture Dave Frederickson.
