Como Zoo Names New Baby Giraffe 'Prince'

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Como Zoo and Conservatory has welcomed a new member into its herd!

The St. Paul zoo welcomed baby giraffe, "Prince," on Nov. 10.

Prince was born standing 6 feet and 6 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He was the seventh baby born to his mother, Daisy, and the 20th giraffe born at the zoo.

Como Friends supporters Gretchen and David Crary were given the honor of naming the giraffe. The two are the lead individual donors on Give To The Max Day for the last three years.

Prince made his public debut on Thursday.
