Como Conservatory Celebrates Centennial Anniversary

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Como Conservatory is celebrating 100 years of visitors and wedding vows.

The conservatory is marking its 100-year anniversary with the unveiling of a new Centennial Garden.

As a nod to Como's popularity as a wedding spot they invited all couples to a special vow renewal ceremony Saturday, whether they were married at Como or not.

"We got married 10 years ago at the historic streetcar station down the street, and we were the very first wedding reception at the visitor's center ten years ago," Bonnie Hanson said.

After the ceremony, 100 couples received a flower direct from the conservatory and a special 100th anniversary vow renewal certificate.
