Community Gathers To Remember Monticello Man Found In River

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Friends and family gathered Monday night to remember a Monticello man who went missing after a wedding reception.

A search team found 23-year-old Joe Brunn's body in the Mississippi River last Thursday morning, about a mile from the Otsego hotel Brunn was heading to the night he disappeared. He had attended a wedding and was last seen leaving Boondox Bar in Otsego, but never got to the hotel he was staying at down the street.

Monday night, the community gathered in St. Michael for the visitation. On Facebook, Joe's mother expressed her love for everyone who helped bring her son home to rest. She also asked for prayers for their family.

Funeral services for Joe Brunn will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael Catholic Church.
