Closures Along I-494, Highway 100 This Weekend

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Motorists should beware, as two busy Twin Cities highways close for road construction this weekend.

Starting at 10 p.m. Friday, southbound Interstate 494 shuts down between Interstates 94 and 394.

Additionally, both directions of Highway 100 close between Interstate 394 and Highway 62, so crews can pave the road between Golden Valley and Edina through St. Louis Park.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says drivers should follow detour signs.

Both projects should wrap up in time for Monday morning's commute.
