Closing Arguments Expected Tuesday In Terror Trial

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Closing arguments are expected Tuesday in the three week trial of three young Twin Cities men accused of trying to join ISIS.

Mohamed Farah, Abdirahman Daud and Guled Omar are also accused of conspiring to commit murders on behalf of the terror group.

The trial has featured the testimony of thee members of the plot who are now cooperating with the government.

One of the cooperating witnesses, Abdirahman Bashir, secretly recorded conversations with the group. Those conversations have been played for the jury.

If convicted on all counts the men face a maximum sentence of life in prison.
