2 teens taken into custody in Cloquet Kwik Trip robbery
Two teens have been taken into custody in an armed robbery of a Cloquet, Minnesota, Kwik Trip gas station that happened early Saturday morning, according to police.
The robbery was reported at about 4:39 a.m., police say, with the masked male suspects displaying a handgun before fleeing with "an undisclosed amount of cash."
No one was hurt.
On Monday afternoon, a 15-year-old boy was taken into custody after officers in Cloquet executed a search warrant. Police said they discovered items believed to be linked to the robbery, including a handgun, while carrying out the warrant.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested in Wrenshall, Minnesota, early Saturday evening. Police said they found items connected to the robbery while executing a search warrant in the area where he was arrested.
Both teens are being held at the Arrowhead Juvenile Center. Charges are pending.
The investigation is ongoing.
