Church Employee Arrested On Suspicion Of Soliciting A Minor

SAVAGE, Minn. (WCCO) – A children's ministry pastor was arrested Friday afternoon on suspicion of soliciting a minor by electronic means.

According to the Pope County Sheriff's office, 24-year-old Matthew Boos was taken into custody in Savage and is being held at the Douglas County Jail.

Boos has worked at the Savage campus of River Valley Church for three years, according to Pastor Darin Poli. He says Boos is on an indefinite leave of absence pending the outcome of the situation.

Poli says his church is fully cooperating with investigators, and he shared the news of Boos arrest with his congregation at weekend worship services.

More information is expected to be released by the sheriff's office on Monday.
