Children's Hospital Hosts Annual Rummage Sale Benefit

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Bargain hunters are flocking to the Shoreview Ice Arena this weekend to check out what's been billed as Minnesota's largest rummage sale.

It's an annual benefit for Children's Hospitals and Clinics put on by the North Oaks Guild.

Shoppers are going through racks of clothes, and big collections of furniture, toys and housewares.

By the time the sale ends Sunday afternoon, the guild hopes to raise another $120,000 to add to its running total.

"We've raised over a million dollars for Children's Hospital through this rummage sale that we've been doing," rummage sale co-chair Ben Ogren said.

The sale continues Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.n. inside the Shoreview Ice Arena on Highway 96.
