Child Injured In North Minneapolis Hit-And-Run

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Police say a child was injured in a hit-and-run in north Minneapolis Tuesday afternoon.

The child's injuries are not life-threatening.

The Minneapolis Police Department said a driver hit the child at 40th Avenue and Sixth Street, then drove away. The department is investigating.

Earlier Tuesday, there was a fatal hit-and-run of a motorcyclist about 2 miles southwest of this incident, on the 3100 block of Queen Avenue North. Police are investigating that case as a homicide.
