Chicago Homicide Suspect Arrested In Superior

SUPERIOR, Wis. (AP) — Sheriff's officials say a man wanted for killing a 7-year-old boy in Chicago has been arrested in northwestern Wisconsin.

Douglas County sheriff's deputies say 21-year-old Rasheed Martin was arrested without incident at a residence in Superior Wednesday afternoon.

Martin is wanted on an Illinois homicide warrant in the death of Amari Brown. The boy was shot in Chicago's Humboldt neighborhood on July 4th. Chicago police say the boy's father had been targeted.

WDIO-TV says Martin is being held in the Douglas County Jail pending his extradition to Illinois.
