Chiang Mai Thai Reportedly Closing In December

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Another restaurant is reportedly closing in Minneapolis after many years as an Uptown neighborhood staple.

According to the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal, Chiang Mai Thai will close on Dec. 23 following 17 years in Calhoun Square.

The owner opted not to extend the restaurant's lease for another five years, the journal reported.

Earlier this fall, established Minneapolis powerhouses La Belle Vie and Vincent A Restaurant announced they would be closing as well.

Chiang Mai Thai's owner, Charles Lodge, will still be a partner for Ginger Hop and Honey Mpls. in the Northeast neighborhood, the journal reported.
