Police: Driver Who Hit Bicyclist, Fled Scene Identifies Himself

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Chaska Police say the driver who fled the scene after a bicyclist was hit by a car Wednesday night has identified himself to authorities.

Police were called at about 9:45 p.m. to the area of Highway 41 and Fourth Street, in downtown Chaska, where a bicyclist told police they were hit by a silver or gray passenger car occupied by two men.

A witness at the scene told another motorist to get the license plate number of the suspected vehicle, which left the scene southbound on Highway 41.

Police said the bicyclist who was hit suffered minor injuries and did not require ambulance assistance.
